Located in Wolverhampton, Emerald House is a nurturing children’s home designed to provide a therapeutic environment for up to three young people.

With dedicated support from our in-house clinical psychology team, we deliver holistic care and guidance to both children and staff, which includes:

  • Conducting thorough initial assessments as required

  • Providing staff consultations and clinical supervision during regular team meetings

  • Overseeing the development and implementation of therapeutic care plans and behaviour support documents

  • Carrying out routine observations of children’s behaviour and staff interactions

  • Offering remote clinical support when necessary

  • Delivering direct or indirect therapy sessions for children, based on individual needs

  • Providing tailored support for young people with learning disabilities to ensure their specific needs are addressed

We prioritise staff training in therapeutic parenting practices, with a strong emphasis on approaches such as the PACE model. This training is provided at induction and continues throughout employment, ensuring that our team consistently delivers high-quality, trauma-informed care.

Emerald House supports children and young people aged 8–18 who experience emotional and behavioural challenges, often stemming from complex trauma and disrupted attachments. With space for up to three residents, we welcome both boys and girls who would benefit from a structured, empathetic environment.

Our goal is to positively influence each child’s life by helping them understand and make sense of their past experiences, while building resilience and developing essential life skills. Whether transitioning to family reunification, foster care, or independent living, we support our young people every step of the way.

Empowering children to make confident, healthy choices for their future is at the core of our work. Through engaging activities, personalised incentive schemes, and strong, supportive relationships, we guide young people in building meaningful peer connections and a brighter path forward.
