Together Where They Belong

At Stepping Stones Care, we believe that every child deserves more than just a safe place to live — they deserve to feel truly at home. A place where they are known, cherished, and nurtured. That’s why we were honoured to welcome a very special sibling group of three into one of our homes and their story so far has been incredibly moving and uplifting.

From the moment we learned of these children, our hearts were set on one goal: keeping them together. We know how vital that sibling bond can be, especially during uncertain times. Sadly, it's all too common for brothers and sisters to be separated due to logistical challenges. But not here. Not with us. With the invaluable support of Ofsted and the local authority, we made it our mission to ensure these three could start their next chapter together — under one roof, as a family.

Thoughtful Planning

Welcoming three children at once is no small task but our team rose to the occasion with care and dedication. We took the time to get to know each child as an individual, understanding their unique needs, experiences, and hopes for the future. Every detail was carefully considered to make their arrival as smooth and gentle as possible.

As Ofsted noted in their feedback:

"Managers and staff considered all relevant information in relation to the children and their individual needs… including careful consideration of the complexity and challenges of three children moving in at the same time."

Seeing the Individual

Yes, they are siblings, but they are also three distinct, wonderful individuals. We’ve created individualised care plans tailored to each of them, ensuring that their personal needs, preferences, and personalities are thought of every step of the way. Whether it’s emotional support, routines, or social development, our staff have shown outstanding dedication.

"Staff adhere to these plans… and the children are all making good progress in different areas of their lives."

A House That Feels Like Home

There’s a warmth in the house — the kind you can’t fake. It’s in the laughter from the living room, the quiet confidence blooming in each child, and the love woven into the walls. The bedrooms are theirs, thoughtfully decorated and personalised to reflect their unique personalities and wishes.

As Ofsted wrote:

"The home is cosy and nicely decorated and furnished. Children’s bedrooms are personalised to reflect their wants and individual wishes."

Looking Forward

Every day, we’re humbled by the progress these siblings are making, not just as a group, but as themselves. Their resilience, joy, and growth remind us why we do what we do. Keeping them together wasn’t just the right decision — it was a gift. For them, and for us.

💙 To the children: You continue to inspire us with your courage and heart.
💙 To our incredible team: Your care and commitment have made all the difference.
💙 To Ofsted and our local authority partners: Thank you for walking this journey with us.

This is what real care looks like — family, hope, and the chance to grow together. We’re so proud to be part of it.
